ABOUT
Created in 1986 by actress and producer Vania Bastian, the group has some studies and literary performances in its history, the main ones being: Morte e Vida Severina (The Death and Life of Severino), O Cortiço (The Tenement) - production produced with the support of the Rouanet Law, Capitães da Areia (Captains of the Sand), A Moreninha (The Little Brunette) and O Auto da Barca do Inferno (The Ship of Hell). The main children's works: Alice no País das Maravilhas (Alice in Wonderland) - winner of the APCA award, Gatos na Eleição do Beco (Cats in the Alley Election) - production produced with the support of ProAC, O Mundo de Tchelo (Tchelo's World) - production produced with the support of ProAC, O Menino Maluquinho (The Nutty Boy) - production produced with the support of ProAC, Sonho de Uma Noite de Verão e Magias (A Midsummer Night's Dream and Enchantments) - production produced with the support of the Rouanet Law, and A Borboleta Sem Asas (The Wingless Butterfly) - production produced with the support of the Rouanet Law and ProAC.
The Trapiche Group aims to decentralize culture and, as the essence of its studies, find points of intersection between musical theater, cinema and classical theater or text theater.
